WHY VIDEO
Professional videography coverage captures the precious sights and sounds of your Wedding Day, just as they occurred. A well shot and edited video complements the still images taken by your professional wedding photographer.

While it may not seem possible at the moment, your wedding day will pass all too quickly. Many aspects of the day will be but a vague memory or blur. A professional video can capture all of the important moments of your wedding ceremony and reception party, so that you can relive the day at a more relaxed time. You will see your guests arriving at the ceremony, and you and your wedding party coming down the aisle. You will hear your voices as you pledge your love to one another and exchange rings. You will hear the music that you chose especially for your day, played exactly as it was played at the ceremony.

Your video will also include footage from the photo shoot with your wedding photographer, you will see and hear the interaction that took place among the photographer, the wedding party, and your immediate family. Still frames from that photo session will enhance the finished video.

Video from the reception party will record sights and sounds from the special toasts, first dances, and special events (cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss). Video of the reception party will record your guests enjoying themselves, as they join you in celebration. Guest interviews will document best wishes and special stories. Your professional wedding video will capture the emotion, laughter, and joyful tears of your special day, to be enjoyed again and again for years to come.

UNOBTRUSIVE COVERAGE
We at Your Video Memories, strive to do everything in our power to help make your wedding day perfect, so it's important to us to blend into the surroundings as we document your special day. We will contact the officiant or wedding coordinator prior to the ceremony (usually at the wedding rehearsal) to review any last minute changes to the order of service. We also want to be aware of any restrictions as to placement of equipment or movement during the ceremony.

We use only professional audio and video equipment, and our 3-chip professional digital video cameras do not require us to use other than ambient lighting during the ceremony. By using two cameras to record the ceremony we are able to capture all of the significant moments from more than one angle, minimizing our movement or the need to reposition our equipment.

We coordinate with your professional wedding photographer to share the available space so that we can both record the ceremony and reception without stepping into each other's shots. We tag along to the photo shoot that you've arranged with your photographer, and take video of you, the bridal party, and close family getting formal portraits. We usually take the video from a different angle or perspective without interferring with the photo shoot, recording the interaction of the bridal party and photographer. We use still frame images from this video in your edited video, and for our custom covers and labels.

At the wedding reception party, your DJ or band leader is in charge of guiding the festivities as emcee. We work closely with him to be in position to record the grand entrance, toasts, special dances, and other special events. For optional guest interviews, we usually set up our camera in a quiet corner of the reception hall or in a separate room. Participation at the interviews is voluntary and allow the guests to convey best wishes or share a fond memory of the bride or groom.

VIDEO STYLE
We shoot our weddings in a video documentary style, recording the day's events as they occur. Whenever possible we use two cameras to capture the scene from more than one angle, usually with both a wide shot and a close up.

Our state of the art digital editing suites allow us to take the best shots from each of the cameras, mix it with balanced audio, and blend elegant animations and digital effects into the video. The addition of your wedding invitation with the text scrolling across the screen, and childhood and dating photos from your personal photo albums enhance the video.

The edited wedding video is presented on two VHS tapes or two DVD's, with the total running time typically between two to three hours. The first volume includes the ceremony and photo shoot, and the second volume is of the reception party. Your wedding day flows smoothly through the finished edited video.

YOUR LOVE STORY
A popular companion product to wedding day videography is a customized "Love Story" video. These videos are often shown during the rehearsal dinner, during the cocktail hour prior to the reception party, or just prior to the grand entrance at the reception party. The "Love Story" video may take the form of a Video Memory Book of childhood and couple photos set to music, or it may include additional video clips from the engagement party or bridal showers. One couple had home video of the actual marriage proposal that they included in their "Love Story" video.

YOUR WEDDING ON DVD
The newest way to enjoy your wedding video is on DVD (Digital Versatile Disc). Being a digital medium, DVD preserves the quality and clarity of the original digital master video. We at Your Video Memories master your DVD's with interactive menus, allowing quick access to the important scenes through chapter points just like those used in feature film DVD's. Custom images and buttons enhance the visual appeal of those menus. DVD's are rapidly replacing VHS video as the medium of choice for wedding videos. Most newer DVD players reliably play the DVD-R discs at an affordable price. Your Video Memories offers an all DVD video package, or you may choose to mix DVD's and VHS video.

WEDDING HIGHLIGHTS
The Wedding Highlights video is a condensation of the essential elements from edited video on a single VHS tape or DVD. The typical running time for a highlights video is between 45 - 60 minutes. We jokingly refer to the highlights video as the "Groom's Video," as we've heard from grooms that they grow impatient watching the full video in its entirety, but enjoy watching the highlights video. Highlights videos make thoughtful "Thank You" gifts for invited guests who were unable to attend the wedding in person.
